How the ratings work

Every team started at 1500, which is the league average.
Beating a stronger team earns more points than beating a weaker one. Each game moves a rating by up to 40 points, more for a big win.
A team rated 100 points higher is expected to earn about 64% of the points when the two teams play.
There is no home-field adjustment.
The first 13 games had no dates, so those ratings are an average over 20,000 possible game orders. New games are added in date order.
Win chances and expected goals come from a separate goal model built on the same results.
